“Marvel’s Iron Man Armor: Too Disgusting Even for Robert Downey Jr, According to Kevin Feige”

Comic books often contain more than what is depicted in their movie adaptations. While the Avengers are typically portrayed as serious and committed heroes, there is more to their characters than meets the eye – this even applies to beloved figures like Iron Man.

The Iron Man Darkhold Armor is a popular source of interest for Marvel Comic fans. While Robert Downey Jr.’s portrayal of Tony Stark was well-loved, his journey in the Marvel Cinematic Universe came to an end with Avengers: Endgame. However, in the comic books, Iron Man has more room to explore and even shows his darker side where he transforms into a monster. The Darkhold: Iron Man story arc is a must-read for fans looking to delve deeper into the character’s psyche.

The 2021 comic book series “The Darkhold: Iron Man” from Marvel Comics features a different version of Tony Stark. In this story, Stark is injured and captured outside of America but manages to escape with his suit of armor. However, upon returning home, he becomes obsessed with becoming more of himself in order to be the hero that the world needs. This obsession is further fueled by the influence of the Darkhold, which has transformed his once-heroic intentions into something much darker. The series provides readers with a unique and terrifying take on Iron Man that is sure to keep them on the edge of their seats.

In the Marvel Comics, Iron Man attempted to create a more solid version of his suit of armor, but instead found his skin melting and bonding with the armor. Despite his and Pepper Potts’ efforts to free him, the suit eventually completely immersed into his body, dissolving the metals as it became inseparable. Tony then decided to clone the suit, abducting Happy and his butler Jarvis to put them in the cloned suits which melted their skin but they survived and followed Stark on his devastating journey. Potts witnessed all the madness through security cameras. This dark tale of Iron Man may not fit into the current MCU scenario. While the Darkhold has made its debut in the MCU, there is little explicit body horror or gore as compared to the Iron Man: Darkhold story. Perhaps in the future, the tale may appear in the What If…? series, but it is unlikely that Robert Downey Jr would immerse his Iron Man suit into his body.
