It’s common for directors to share their opinions on successful films, and the James Bond Director is no exception. He recently shared his thoughts on the billion-dollar movie starring Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson, not holding back on what he thinks.

In a recent interview, Martin Campbell shared his thoughts on the Fast and Furious movies featuring Dwayne Johnson and Vin Diesel, criticizing them for being too far-fetched. As a director with experience in action films, Campbell was not impressed with one of the high-intensity movies he watched.

The famous director Martin Campbell recently shared his dislike for Computer-Generated Imagery (CGI) in the film industry. In an interview, Campbell expressed his preference for traditional methods of filming movies and stated that he does not find the use of digital technology and CGI appealing or entertaining. He believes that the excessive use of CGI in films like Fast and Furious makes the action scenes look unrealistic and can cause viewers to lose interest. In contrast, he appreciates the realism that could be achieved in the past when there was no digital technology. Campbell’s stance reflects his admiration for the old ways of filming movies in the 70s and 80s without relying on computer-generated effects.

Campbell has made a comparison between two different movie eras, specifically the ’70s and ’80s, and the current ultra-modern Fast and Furious franchise. He expressed his concerns regarding the excessive use of CGI in movies like Fast and Furious, which he referred to as “Ludicrous”, that makes the film unrealistic and unattractive. The director suggested that filmmakers should not put too much emphasis on digitally enhanced action scenes, as it may cause fans to disengage from the movie. This is why Campbell didn’t find Dwayne Johnson and Vin Diesel’s movie appealing to watch. Moreover, the ongoing feud between them has taken a toll on the Fast and Furious franchise.

Dwayne Johnson and Vin Diesel’s rivalry had a negative impact on the Fast and Furious franchise, causing damage to its reputation. While Dwayne Johnson’s involvement in the series since 2011 has been well-received by critics and audiences alike, the feud between the two stars that began soon after his introduction didn’t bode well for the franchise. To make matters worse, the conflict was made public by Johnson when he posted a message on his Instagram in 2016.

The Rock had initially posted about a fight between him and another actor, but later deleted the post and admitted in an interview with Vanity Fair that he regretted making it public. He acknowledged that going against his principles was a bad move and that he could have handled the feud privately instead of risking damage to the franchise’s success by creating controversy.
